I started watching Korean movies only few years back and must say I am amazed by them. Here are my few favourite Korean movies ...
This was my second Korean movie. A masterpiece, a powerful crime thriller and almost near to perfection. Stunningly beautiful & mesmerizing cinematography and brilliant direction. The development of every character is simply amazing and the actors have lived their characters on screen and they cuts you deep. Its a definite watch and the best crime thriller !!!
Another masterpiece, great script depicting the sensitive human relationships and the conflict of emotions forced due to war and enemity. The last few scenes leaves a deep mark on you. Captivating and fantastic screenplay.
An emotionally disturbing movie. Violent and emotionally brutal but yet a masterpiece. The music sticks to your head. The admiration for Korean movies will increase post watching this movie. An absolute gem and one of the most popularly known Korean movie.

Emotionally draining and yet the feeling of satisfaction at the end; sheer brilliance....

My Sassy Girl
This was my first Korean movie and watched it only after repeated request from my friend. It is definitely a must watch for all teenagers. A nice romantic comedy. Enjoyed the movie thoroughly !

I Saw The Devil
A brutally profound revenge thriller. Koreans are best at bringing out emotions from gore. The fine line between the killer and the vengeful husband becomes blurred. Both actors' close up scenes tell you more about their characters than the dialogues. Its more than just gore.
Oasis

A poetic thriller; its like a poem where the story tells itself than the dialouge. A very interesting and wonderful movie and definitely a unique experience.
Miracle in Cell No. 7
How come Koreans come up with gems like this !!! A comedy which makes you laugh, cry & love. Despite some flaws, a gripping, compelling and well executed drama.

A Moment to Remember and never to forget. Simply, one of the best romantic movie ever made. A natural flow of story blessed with superb and easy acting makes you feel like crying at times. A moment to remember and never to forget !
New World
A great treat for crime and thriller lovers. Solid acting backed by good script, great cinematoraphy, ambient music, superb screenplay and twists in the plot keeps one interested till the end. An entertaining movie in this genre.
Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War
A powerful and emotionally lasting war drama. Very realistic depictions of war scenes. Not just the tale of two brothers but the depiction of war and its complexities blows you over. Post this movie, I had to change my views about Saving Private Ryan. This one is a masterpiece as a war drama.
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring
A masterpiece, visually fantastic, perfect simplicity and a cinematic art. As the name suggests, it touches the cycles of life in a simple but everlasting manner. It teaches you a lesson or two about life. Just experience this movie.
The Admiral
Never thought a thriller can be made out of fight between ships. A must watch for lovers of Age of Empires. Gripping and great cinematography backed by superb acting. Read briefly about Yi Sun Shin before watching this movie.
Berlin File
An excellent high paced action thriller espionage movie. The script is very good which is usually a weak point in such genre movies. Action scenes are intriguing and the cinematography makes them look beautiful. A great entertaining action thriller flick.
Apart from these, few other movies I liked are Confessions, Mother and The Front Line.
