Just 3 months after a two day Momentum Jharkhand Global Investors Summit held on Feb 16-17, 2017; Momentum Jharkhand Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on May 18, 2017. It was held to lay the foundation of 21 projects of 19 different companies and inaugurate 3 projects of worth more than ₹ 700 crore.
This shows the commitment of CM Raghubar Das to put on grounds the MoUs signed and his tireless efforts to put Jharkhand on development map. The most remarkeable point is how smoothly and timely land as promised to investors was made available when other state govts. are facing hurdles in land acquisition.

MoUs are mere intent and unless put on ground has not much value. The speed and effectiveness with which these projects have been put on ground, kudos to the CM of the day. List of few projects

One can definitely argue that these projects are not big ticket items and why hold a ceremony at such scale. As I have mentioned in my earlier blog, Jharkhand at this stage should not compete with states like Gujarat or Maharashtra or Karnataka etc. It must compete with itself. The significance of this ceremony in my opinion is
- Laying foundation stones of 21 projects and inaugurating 3 projects within 3 months shows the commitment level of the govt. and investor friendliness.
- CM himself participating is a signal to small investors that his govt. means business and values their contribution.
As I have promised, I will keep a close track on progress of this initiative. The success of Momentum Jharkhand is the need of the hour after a decade of lost oppurtunity since its creation. As a native of Jharkhand, I hope and wish for its success…
